DYNAMIK Pickleball In Action Plus 45 Other Courts
DYNAMIK installation teams have completed a highly prestigious project at Coronation Square, London, which is the UK’s largest multi-sport arena for acoustic walling and a synthetic multi-use playing surface, creating a 45 court multi-sport hall with acoustic sport impact walling. The project provides 20 Badminton courts, 6 Basketball courts, 6 Netball courts, 6 Futsal courts, 6 Volleyball courts, a Handball show court and even includes pickleball.
The DYNAMIK team installed a sprung system finished in a seamless Herculan polyurethane (PU) playing surface which benefits from being pad and foam-backing free which therefore provides high indentation resistance for non-sporting events as well as being ideal for wheelchair usage due to having a low rolling resistance. Safety, comfort and the ability to enhance performance is a priority for DYNAMIK when it comes to athletes and by virtue of being a DYNAMIK sports floor, provides the client with a sports surface that ensures long term durability, cost competitiveness and ongoing aftercare support.
DYNAMIK have also supplied and installed the internal sports walling panels within this facility. which are tested for ball impact resistance and provide acoustic reverberation reduction, achieving the highest Class A rating.
The DYNAMIK indoor sports walling system has been designed with the user in mind, combining the solid and perforated (acoustic) panels. This achieves low-level impact zones for player and ball impact and a reduction in reverberation which aids all users and enables participation. Poor acoustic design is proven to have a detrimental effect on player performance and vocal health for instructors. Our panels therefore not only enable a better sports environment for all users, they are also advantageous for hearing-impaired or those who are neurodivergent, who may react negatively to an abundance of noise or reverberation of sounds.
The system’s necessary construction void also provides the perfect space in which to disguise power cables, drainage pipes, and general services. Our walling team have utilised their skills to create bespoke quick access panels for switchgear for services that require access in the future or operating services, whilst keeping the beautiful flush finish.
As an environmentally responsible business, we are also proud that we have contributed to the project’s green credentials and have contributed to the reduction of embodies carbon due to the reduced concrete block usage within the sports hall environment. The walling system also reduces embodied carbon due to reduced concrete block usage throughout the sports hall.
